If you’re travelling from the north of York, towns like Ripon, Malton, Thirsk or Easingwold, head to our Park & Ride sites at Poppleton Bar, Rawcliffe Bar and Monks Cross.
Poppleton Bar - Service 59
The Poppleton Bar Service runs from 6.30am Monday to Friday, 7.00am on Saturdays and 8.30am to 6.00pm on Sundays.
Buses stop at:

- Rougier Street
- Tower Street
The last bus back from Clifford Street to Poppleton Bar is at 6.48pm Monday to Friday, 6.49pm Saturdays, and 8.17pm on Sundays.
Rawcliffe Bar - Service 2
The Rawcliffe Bar Service runs from 7.00am Monday to Saturday, and from 9.00am on Sundays.
Buses stop at:
- Museum Gardens
- Rougier Street
- The Theatre Royal
- York Minster
- York Rail Station
The last bus back from Museum Street to Rawcliffe Bar on any day of the week is at 10.33pm.
Monks Cross - Service 9
The Monks Cross service runs from 7.01am Monday to Friday, from 7.07am on Saturday, and from 9.30am on Sundays.
Buses stop at:
- Rougier Street
- Stonebow
The last bus back from Rougier Street to Monks Cross is at 9.18pm Monday to Friday, 9.10pm on Saturdays, and 6.45pm on Sundays.
Extra buses will run over the Christmas period.
Travel advice for visitors from the south of York
If you’re travelling from the south of York, towns and cities like Selby or Doncaster, head to our Park & Ride sites at the Designer Outlet and Askham Bar.
The A19 and the Designer Outlet car park can become congested quickly and Askham Bar has plenty of space so do consider heading there.
Askham Bar - Service 3
The Askham Bar service runs from 6.01am Monday to Saturday, and 9.31am on Sundays.

- Micklegate
- Rougier Street
- York Rail Station
The last bus back from Tower Street to Askham Bar is at 8.13pm Monday to Friday, 8.05pm Saturdays, and 6.10pm Sundays.
Over Christmas, extra buses mean services will run every 9 to 10 minutes.
Designer Outlet - Service 7
The Designer Outlet service runs from 6.53am Monday to Friday, 7.00am on Saturdays, and 9.30am on Sundays.
Buses stop at:
- The Barbican
- Clifford’s Tower
- Rougier Street
- York Railway Station
The last bus back from Clifford Street to the Designer Outlet is at 10.33pm Monday to Friday, 10.19pm on Saturdays, and 10.12pm on Sundays.
Over Christmas, extra buses mean services will run every 9 to 10 minutes.
Travel advice for visitors from the east of York
If you’re travelling from the east of York, towns like Pocklington or Market Weighton, head to our Park & Ride sites at Grimston Bar or Monks Cross.
Using the Park & Ride you can be in town in under 15 minutes.
Grimston Bar - Service 8
The Grimston Bar service runs from 5:01am Monday to Saturday, and 9.32am on Sundays.
Buses stop at:
- Coppergate Centre
- Foss Islands Retail Park
- Piccadilly
The last buses back from Piccadilly to Grimston Bar is at 9.39pm Monday to Friday, 9.38pm on Saturdays, or 6.13pm on Sundays.
On weekends running up to Christmas extra buses will increase frequency to 1 every 10 minutes.
Monks Cross - Service 9
The Monks Cross service runs from 7.01am Monday to Friday, from 7.07am on Saturday, and from 9.30am on Sundays.
Buses stop at:
- Rougier Street
- Stonebow
The last bus back from Rougier Street to Monks Cross is at 9.18pm Monday to Friday, 9.10pm on Saturdays, and 6.45pm on Sundays.
Extra buses will run over Christmas too.

If you’re travelling from the westof York, towns and cities like Leeds, Wetherby or Harrogate, head to our Park & Ride sites at Askham Bar or Poppleton Bar.
Askham Bar - Service 3
The Askham Bar service runs from 6.01am Monday to Saturday, and 9.31am on Sundays.

The last bus back from Tower Street to Askham Bar is at 8.13pm Monday to Friday, 8.05pm Saturdays, and 6.10pm Sundays.

The Poppleton Bar Service runs from 6.30am Monday to Friday, 7.00am on Saturdays and 8.30am to 6.00pm on Sundays.
