New All York fares from January 2025
From 2 January 2025, there will be changes to some of the fares on York’s bus network, with some offers for families and young people continuing.
A standard All York Day pass, which allows the user to travel on any local bus service within the York boundary on the day of issue, will cost £6.00.
The All York Week pass will cost £24.00, and the All York Month pass will cost £85.00.
There are also changes to the All York Smart Multi-Day bundles.
From 2 January the mult-day fares will be:
- 2 days: £10.40
- 5 days: £24.80
- 10 days: £46.80
- 20 days: £88.40
These new fares are proportionate to the increased running costs of running bus services, and are similar to those seen elsewhere in the country.
Thanks to BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) funding, we've been able to keep the following fares frozen until 30 March 2025, meaning that families and young people will be able to travel in York at the same reduced rates.
- All York Family Day: £9.60
- All York Young Person’s Day: £2.50 - for young people aged 5 to 18
- All York Young Person’s Week: £12 - for young people aged 5 to 18
Single fares for young people aged between 5 and 18 will remain frozen at £1, while up to 3 children aged 5 to 6 can still travel free with any adult.
Offers for commuting York Hospital staff are also in place, which are part-funded by York and North Yorkshire NHS and BSIP funding with single fares to cost £1.50 from 2 January.
